Why can I not use CFL’s in the dimmer circuit?
All fluorescent bulbs require a certain voltage to light and maintain that light. The dimmer circuit is designed to reduce the voltage supply to the fluorescent. Most CFL’s will not work if the voltage drops below 100vac.
